With my black screen its a bit difficult to truly get the full impact of your framing. But from what I can detect,it's very striking.I love the way you have the text.A very interesting and dynamic composition,Christian.
WoooooWW!!! What a framing here...!!!!! Aweeeeeeee!! I love that style, reminds me a bit of Matrix... ;_) Thats so unbelievable coooool.... needsomesunglasses ;-) ggg The photograph... you know I do like it a lot, I love the angle youve chosen here uda and it makes something very special of a simple street-corner... man, you got THE EYE!! ;-) I love how youve carried on the lines of your image into the frame... Thats sooooo intelligent! :-) Youre soo creative and innovative, I adore this!!! Soo much! :-)) Youre my star... ;-) *dzk dvmjsuads fmad hugesthugs
Nice idea - I would like a little more contrast - but excellent image non the less.
i like this nagle with nice contrast. have a good day
picture is good..framing cool.
Cool comp and presentation - looks like a good time was had by all given the amount of images to come out of the visit.
Great sense of geometric minimalism here, your graphic lines in the background/frame are the perfect complement to those of the photo itself. And all the better for being in black and white, in the case of this pic any colour and it just wouldn't have been the same. Good one Christian hugs
Original subject and excellent framing!
Cool framing.
Great image and love presentation:)
Amazing Christian, how you can take a mundane object and turn it into something wonderful to look at, as you have done here. Wonderful angle shot. I love the B&W. It adds to the drama. Another marvelous presentation from you.
very good presentation, Christian...a simple corner - very well put in frame!
Hey! cool shot and framing, the whole stuff works perfectly, very good idea and conception. Have a good night, G.
Very cool looking......I like it! Excellent POV!
Klasse gesehn,Christian. excellent b/w photography art.* bravo * #:O)
Very sharp corner, nice pov. like the street names on the fence too, better than on poles. nice in the soft b&W tones, eccellent! Lina
Before I comment I wish to pull a few word from those who have commented as I fully agree with their observations. They are geometric minimalism, mundane object, and Bewegung und Gegenbewegung (movement and movement against itself). There is tension and the drama is taken out of the picture and brought into the frame. As I have mentioned before, your framing is becoming an integral part to the photograph and the two coexist in a symbiosis that makes it work. So now we come to the technical portion of this photograph. The latitude between the black and white is very shallow, as I wish to see some black. If this were printed in the darkroom, I would say a grade 2 paper, but how about a 3 or even a 3 1/2 grade to achieve some of the blacks? To correct this, you would need to go back to the Channel Mixer and play around with those settings if this were shot in colour, but since you used film there are two options, redo the print with different filters or rework the scan. The other comment has to do with the positioning of the camera. I do like the coming and going feel of this print, however I would consider raising the camera angle so the highlight on the street sign might be less and we could read the name. This would also give a slightly different drama to the scene. If I am correct in remembering, the street sign is a dark blue with white letters, use this as a guide to made the dark blue a black to achieve a larger range of the tonal scale. back to the camera angle. By being a little higher, consider your lens, the 17-35 mm, you will achieve a distortion that goes to the feet and not upward were there is no drama. I guess that covers it. I hope it helped. Of course I was not there to see the situation first hand and can only assume from this photograph. One more item, a sort of PS: The lines in the framing of this photgraph I see are deliberate and work very well, also the two version of type tones, though I would make the lighter type a point sizes or two smaller as not to crowd the image while leaving the other one be as it is.
Which way to go?!!!Xlent photo and frame!!!
Cool shot! Love the lines in it!
i really like what i can see, Christian! i really would love to see this one a lot bigger though so i could see more details. :) i guess age is not kind to me...my eyes are not what they used to be. :( nice composition on this one, and i really like the black framing with the lines in it. the way you did the title is cool too! :)
Wonderful diverging angularity - the composition and geometry are superb and the image has great impact! Quite well done!
You have such an eye, Christian ! Unique subject ! And you become definitively the "Master of frames" ! Excellent, creative and original work here ! Well done ! :~)
