So many stories here, a whole cycle of symbolic myths, beginning & culminating in the most intriguing way only to begin again as my eye travels around your image reading your fascinating story! A cover for y big encyclopedia of myths... full of thoughts, wishes, dreams, being and not being... some answers and above all some more questions... Very impressive work here!! I like the simple technic that has such an impact... wonderful!! And perfect for the theme, I think!! :-))
Titta, fantastic drawing. I love the surreal look to it. That log leg is a killer. Your title fits perfectly. Both trajedy and comedy are depicted here. Many myths depict the beings changing forms, so this fits perfectly in that tradition. It could also represent the changes in our lives that change us interiorly and sometimes exteriorly. Lovely surreal drawing that leads my thoughts to a modern surreal kind of John Bauer, the Swedish famous fairytale painter and drawer with trolls as a speciality. Quite fascinating motive.
I was about to start with "oh wow Titta!" but Bev beat me to it, so consider that I said something else along the same lines ;-) I love your imagination, it's so fertile, often so original, and your drawing skills have evolved so quickly as to let you reproduce what's in your head every time. This is most definitely one to keep coming back to, thank you so much hon big hugs :-D
