Forgot to say guys, I used Blender 3D 2.37a with the dicombobulator script. The scarry thing is, this took only 8 minutes to do, after I had the idea...;)
oh yeah..I've tried the same, but I only have 512m mem, and I get sections instead of the whole megilla..;) great work. One thing you might try is bringing it into Wings 3d or something, doing some texturing assignments, and applying different mats in Bryce..livens things up..;) yer off to a good start, keep it going..

fantastic perspective a real feel of looking down on a thriving metropolis Pehaps some sky textures instead of white even if just postwork in photoshop. But I was still gobsmacked :)
