Description
Fading Memories
By Mike Mitchell
Gradure gone.
Once mighty, once strong
Now fallen, now fading.
Yet strength lingers sturdy in its stone heart.
The loving toil of dedicated fingers
Left their marks cut into rocky flesh
And defy the slow wearing caress
Of sun and soil and wind and rain.
Grandure gone?
Faded, perhaps no longer mighty,
But never down and never weak.
Not while life clings
In the stoney niches that love made.

The stone work is terrific. I love the touch of color with the flowers and the water. Well done. (Thank you for your kind comments - much appreciated)
