Description
This butterfly is, although very common in the Netherlands, relatively unknown. I think this is because of the size of the butty.. not more than a few centimeters and the color... a beautiful but not very strong blue.

Beautiful Macro, I never seen a powder blue butterfly, excellent photography!
I captured a buttie just like this one; but it sits on top of a clover. :) This is gorgeous; maybe I'll upload mine some day ....
Beautiful shot! Most excellent macro!
A very attractive close up, it is wonderful that even the colours of such small things are better appreciated when enlarged. A feast instead of a fleeting taste. The blue really is strangely attractive, I wonder if this butterfly was the inspiration to Josiah Wedgewood for his famous blue pottery of the same shade and texture? george clarke
