Description
Today I took this picture of an insect. Is it a hoverfly, is it a bee.. I don't know yet..Maybe someone knows what this is.. Enmos maybe ?
And Enmos (Jeroen)probably did !! He cannot identify the insect 100% sure, but he now thinks of Erastalis pertinax which is a hoverfly.
Thanks for all your comments so far and for your efforts to identify the insect.

I was going to upload a shot just like this, I'm glad didn't though... this is so much better than my effort, lol. I'm pretty certain this is a bee btw. :))
remarkable clarity and wow look at those wings .. brilliant work!! WOW!
It's a beauty anyway :) Nice sharp, nice colors!
Super sharp. Fantastic image!
Great clarity on this shot. I believe it is a bee also. Fantabulous shot. Aloha
Hoverfly, I think. But I'm far to be sure...! Anyway, your shot is damned good...
Bumble-bee, I think... but like PIMBO, I'm far from sure....(Indeed, Jeroen may help...) And I agree for the photo : Excellent macro ! :~)
Excellent macro indeed! I like this little bee
Fantastic capture of this bug on the flower! Jeroen will certainly know it! Excellent work!
Wow great capture Oskar !! Marvelous job here, excellent detail and dof !! :o) Its a hoverfly alright, seems to be the same one as in your pic "Taking off" :o) It is of the 'Eristalis' genus, which are called Droneflies. There are some very similar droneflies that are difficult to tell apart, but i am tempted to say that this is 'Eristalis tenax' though :o)
Super Macro shot, nice detail, clarity and DOF.. V
Yes it a Hover but need to see the top to be sure it is what Jeroen says as these have a V mark on the back. Super shot!
Excellent macro shot!A lovely composition as well. How fortunate that there are such experts at RR to ask such things!
