Spent all day working on a thing, still not getting it and no idea why. Technically there is nothing wrong with the render but it's just not IT, if you know what I mean. I think maybe it's that background. Really not keen on it at all but so far nothing else I've come up with is any better. Wasted a whole lot of time doing empty rooms that suck as bad if not worse when I tried switching them out. Anybody got ideas how to make it not suck? Would be very helpful.

I did use out painting to extend it at the top and left -- my left, facing the monitor that is -- which makes it look less cramped. Still can't put my finger on what the problem is, though. Also not sure about the blue chair, think perhaps it ought to be leather. :sigh: Maybe if I sleep on it a bit the solution will come.
And in other news, it's Caturday!

Had to repaint one of his eyes, very minor flaw. Still not perfect, then again only the Divine is supposed to be perfect. This one just purrs. ;-)
And for rhol & the K9 crew, here's a cup of pup!

Happy Saturdog!
Byrdie - You could always try some different architecture styles, then pick a time period and lighting you like. (volumetric sunlight is one of favs) One thing I like about using prompts is the research I have to do sometimes. Nothing wrong with learning new things and adding to the data base eh. Who said this ai art stuff was easy anyway. The K9 crew sends high fives all around, woof... :)
@ladylake: I think you're right, there's too much going on with the walls. Late now but tomorrow if all goes well I'll try again, keep it green but not that chalkboard green. I think it needs a bit of texture, too. Room is supposed to be a bit on the Victorian/Edwardian side and they loved their fancy wallpaper. Chair should be leather, not sure what fabric that blue thing is, might also be some sort of wool. Think there should maybe be a window, too, and I may or may not keep the painting.
Although if I want to be TV show accurate, it also needs a spray painted smiley face and some bullet holes. But I probably won't go that far.
ALARA - An elf princess inner conflict short story adventure...

In the enchanted realm of the Nefertiti Forest, there resides a solitary figure whose heart yearns for a life beyond the confines of her royal heritage. This figure is Alara, a gentle and ethereal elf princess who finds herself trapped within the majestic yet suffocating walls of her family's forest home...

While her kingdom flourishes with vibrant flora and harmonious melodies, Alara's spirit longs for the vastness of the world outside. From her tower window, she imaginings the adventures that await her beyond the boundaries of her gilded prison...

Alara's days are filled with courtly duties and the expectation of a regal future. But as the sun sets and the moon casts its enchanting glow upon the forest, she steals away to secret hideaways, losing herself in the ancient pages of forgotten tales. In these stories, she discovers narratives of valiant heroes and daring heroines who roam far-off lands, unencumbered by the weight of expectation and tradition...

With every whispering breeze and rustling leaf, Alara feels the tantalizing call of freedom beckoning her. The forest that was once her sanctuary now feels like an invisible cage, its emerald canopy closing in around her. She dreams of venturing beyond its borders, of feeling the grass beneath her feet and the wind in her hair, of encountering diverse cultures and untold wonders...

Despite the sense of loneliness that pervades her existence, Alara harbors a flicker of hope deep within her delicate soul. She cherishes the belief that one day, her yearning for independence will be fulfilled, and she will discover her own path beyond the constraints of her birthright. Until then, she remains an elf princess bound by duty, her dreams forever dancing just out of reach, yet ever present in her heart...

Someone is always watching, someone is always plotting. Who is a friend and who is not... ;)

Lunaseas posted at 6:59 PM Sat, 3 June 2023 - #4467070Di you use a starter image of the actress from the series or did the AI just know who you meant? I did have to have some reference pictures and to mention the name of the actress to get it this close without the reference images. I still got some neat things, but they weren’t quite right. If you go back way in the thread, I did post those images.I also decided to go to a show from my childhood, The Marvel Power Hour. "Oh zephyr winds from up on high, lift me now so I may fly!"
I thought somebody would be hungry. :o) Nice short story and images BTW.Kenmac - The popcorn showed up just in time... ;)
Aaagh! my head, my hair damn my fingernails everything hurts, that's why I don't drink Scotch on any kind of regular basis Scotch hangovers just kill me their Viscous to me. Won't be starting the S&S today hell might not even leave the living area today except to go back to bed maybe. Glad Big Will showed last night besides Raphael he's the only guy I know with any experience with S&S Motors (wasn't going to tell Raphael I was clueless with S&S) anyway got Will a Scotch( 22 YO Glenlivet Speyside Single Malt good stuff picked up 3 bottles of it over 100 proof) went out back to the shop too look at the motor. He let out a whistle when he saw it said you got the whole damn thing huh, what they don't come that way I asked. Nope usually just the motor head he said it's up to the buyer to matchup a tranny and clutch assembly, did not know that I said. Got that Frame too pointing at the Frame Table yeah standard Jammer Softail he said 2-3K but this motor assembly is probably 10-12K as it sets...my turn to whistle, way under estimated what it was worth. You got this and that (pointing at the Frame + 10k cash for your Pan, damn you got a Deal Raphael musta really wanted that Pan helluva deal Brother, need any help with the Build give me a holler. Just recalling that conversation makes me feel better...not really makes me smile though.
Did these a couple days ago, reminiscing

Len - The jungle looks amazing, I can almost hear the birds and insects, very intense. The female figures are also cool, always liked white hair, has that magic, fantasy feel. A big mug or two of coffee usually does the trick for me, ha....
Gill - A cute squirrel out for a bike ride... :)
Brent - Great set of images, has your touch of strangeness all right!
The jungle was an intense place you can't see what's coming, think maybe that's why I fell in love with the Desert ain't no sneaking up on someone, in the jungle when it goes quiet you start looking for cover. Coffee never even phases my hangovers, it takes a couple of spliffs and some of what bit me to get me untangled, not everything gives me a hangover though Tequila don't Bourbon Don't but for some reason Scotch does and Mixed drinks do and of course Beer.Len - The jungle looks amazing, I can almost hear the birds and insects, very intense. So much to be amazed by, that's for sure. Have yet to try armoured space marine-type renders, I can only hope to achieve results half as good. Experiment, practice and patience, methinks be the key.
@lenord -- does MidJourney throw a wobbly when you prompt for weapons and armies and the like? Watched a video on Adobe's Firefly/Generative fill in Photoshop and it is net-nannied up the wazoo. At one point the guy was adding some things like extra dishes and food on a table. Went very well indeed ... until he tried adding a knife to cut the bread he'd just placed and up pops a violation of service warning along the lines of "violent imagery is forbidden". Had no trouble giving him a fork, though, guess it never heard of anyone being stabbed with one of those. Sure can't butter your bread with it, though.
And needless to say, it is 100 -- no, 1000 -- percent useless for anybody doing fanart. Not that I expected any different according to what I've read about how it's been trained, but I'm wondering if it might get fussy when asked to extend backgrounds and such if it recognizes what it thinks is copyright IP or a celebrity likeness. Not much good if it keeps refusing to work or gives you worse results than you'd expect from the supposedly top photo editing software in the world.
And, finally, a progress report on what I'm (temporarily) calling Purple Pride:

Swapped out both room and chair. This one I like better but I am still not fond of that wallpaper. Tried to match the lighting as closely as possible, not sure how well I've achieved that. The room prompt uses "volumetric sunlight" while the figure prompt has "soft lighting". I am happy with the white chair, the window and the floor. Still much to be done, ain't no way this is "magic" or "lazy" or whatever else the anti-AI art faction wants to dismiss it as. If it were, I'd be ever so much faster. And better. As it is, I'm working just as much as with Daz/Poser/etc. and applying things I've learned there to this newfangled method. Not to mention learning new stuff every day.
ABSOLUTELY THE LAST WORD: Photoshop Generative Fill Is Officially Out Of Control
Love the Dino People. Are they from Wombo? Care to share some prompt tips? NightCafe is doing a shitty job for Dragonmen in a bar.Hair of the dog...

Gill - I'm still going through images to see what happens when I discombobulate them, finding some strange fun stuff. Just one more render I say, but then two weeks later, still going, lol. Here's to keep breaking reality...
