Lorena SilverStar, Journey Through Esca By: Jessica Smith She gets off her horse and slings her bow onto her back, She walks into the tower she arrived at and and kneels down before the Hight Elven Mages. She stands again and stays silent as they give her the duty that she is to perform. "Go and see what is happening in the world, We fear a danger is rising and know not yet what it is, your father recommended that you could do the job most swiftly. We suggest you start out at one of the Human cities and work your way around. Do not be brave and face these dangers on your own young Lorena. For your death would not bring about the information we need. go now and see, and in several nights send us news no matter what you have yet." She nods and heads off after getting their blessing and mounts her steed again, with a few clicks of her tongue and a good pat on the neck they ride off. Reaching first a small human village close to the outskirts of her tribe for lack of better word's forrest she dismounts again and looks at the people who see her and either cringe or have an open look of disgust for the elven race in general. She keeps going though walking her bow over her shoulder, just in case there should be some trouble. She walks to the center of town and asks someone where the leader of this small tribal village would be at. After getting the directions she walks to the largest house, yet small compared to those she seen at the edge of town and knocks upon the door, after but a moment it is open and she is admitted to speak with the tribal leader who sits there near a fire keeping warm. She walks over silently "Sir I ask for but a moment of your time" her common language skills remarkable for someone who has not really been out of the forrest. The man not moving speaks slowly "Lady Elf, what do you want." Lorena gives a small smile on her normally serious face.. "Ah thank you good sir, I seek information about what is happening in the world today.." The human man turns now and looks at her and she nearly gasps but keeps her manners in check, showing no shock at the mans deformities.. one eye missing and the lid sown shut, or the large tears in his flesh.. "Lady elf, these i cannot say, for you must go to a larger town than this. Try Esca." with that he walks off and out of the room, she is left standing there and turns also leaving silently, walking with her horse she pays little heed to the sly comments and the disgustful looks of the folk there. She mounts her horse and heads to Esca. She mounts her horse again, and with another nudge and a few more soft words they ride off, north east not even stopping when she pulls the food from her bag and eats what she had brought with. Lorena stops as she gets to the gates of the city, quite impressive she would have to say. She dismounts and walks with her horse to the city gates and talks with the guards, after a few moments and some answered questions she walks through and realizes that Dusk has befallen them. She makes the decision to rest for the night and continue her journey in the morning. Making her way to one of the inns she walks in and tosses a couple of coins down for a room and food. She waits for her food and drink, looking around as she does. The places was dingy all right, obviously nobody really cleaned up while people was around, and it appeared there was always someone around. When she finally recieves her order she walks to the room she was given, first checking to make sure that her horse was quite alright and also recieving well treatment. Her mind at ease she enters her room. She sit's at the small table inside the room and silently watches out the window the food filling her stomach and stops being filled enough. She stands and heads over to the window and looks out and down at the street below. Watching the last minute shoppers and the couples strolling through the streets she shakes her head and goes turning out what light she had in the room. After changing into evening wear she ties her hair back again in a braid behind her long slender ears and lays upon the bed falling into a comfortable yet light sleep. She is awaken in the morning by a quiet sneaking, someone was seeming to try and move about her room silently. Quickly she sits up grabbing a knife she slipped under her pillow and looks at the sound. "Who goes there." She calls out her voice calm and ready to strike should the need arise. but instead of answering whatever was causing the sound fled from the room. Lorena stood and waited gripping the knife tight, her good elven eye sight roaming till it falls on the paper, she opens it and the words say, "your journey, has just begun" and that was it. She frowns wondering, of course her journey has just begun, but what could this lead to? She grabs her items and walks off, leaving a small tip for the room as she resumes, hoping to find the answers that she was searching for. Her trip takes her outside of town, having asked a few of the people withen for directions, they told her that just a few days before, a group of travelers left in search of this demon horde that was bothering the townspeople. After having disposed of the demons the group simply vanished and nobody knew what had happend, but perhaps if Lorena went and found them, her questions would be answered. She stops first at the local shop along the way, purchasing a new bow and a quiver of arrows, luckily she came prepared with enough pieces of gold to do the job. She straps her new weapon upon her back and walks out, mounting onto her horse again as they trot out of the town. Now to find that group she thinks to herself, determined to finish her duty. The day moves by without much event but she stops only once to grab some fruit off the nearby trees. The sun started to set and she realizes that she had to be close by, finally. She hears voices, catching probably in the wind, but her sensitive ears manage to pick up the sound, but not the words themselves. The decision to camp gets tossed out as she clicks her tongue and her horse starts to move again in the direction she told it. A bit past the sun setting she spots it ahead, a group sitting around the fire there talking quietly, it appeared a normal one, though strange traveling companions, She rides closer and dismounts calling out a greeting to them before stepping over. They stop speaking but look at her curiously. She stands there on the outter area of the fires light and speaks to them, after establishing that they are indeed the group she was looking for. After the exchange of information, and what they have gathered she makes a whistle as her horse comes near. She looks around and stands back up realizing she had the information she needed. Bidding them a fair well, she heads back home, to give the elders the news... The demons have risen again.
