The little robot tugged at Valerie’s hand, its single antenna flickering with excitement — the bar’s blue neon sign was already calling. Warm lights, charging ports, stories whispered over synthetic drinks. Everything it had been promised. But Valerie stopped. Her cybernetic arm tensed almost imperceptibly as she turned her head, eyes narrowing. Somewhere beyond the glow of the sign, beyond the laughter and music bleeding into the street, something had shifted. A reflection where none should be. A shadow that didn’t belong. The robot looked up at her, confused, its grip tightening. “Just a second,” Valerie murmured. The bar could wait. Whatever was watching them could not. The image was created in DAZ Studio and rendered with Iray. Afterwards, a small amount of post-processing was done in Photoshop, without the use of AI.
