Deer Park, Texas is "The Birthplace of Texas". Texas won its independence from Mexico at The Battle Of San Jacinto in 1836. After the battle, the treaty papers were drafted in a cabin in Deer Park, which is near the battlefield. This replica of the cabin is explained in the photo.
