Entry #5

This picture is a mix of old photos I took with my cameras Nikon D7000 and Nikon D90 at Christmas eve in previous years. The total time (choosing the photos, finding the right post-effects) took me about four hours.

This picture opens as a gift on a Christmas tree. With all its decorative items, this tree symbolizes the way how Christmas is seen today: a commercial feast.
The pictures superimposed as ghosts represent how Christmas should be seen.
Christmas must be a family feast during which simple gifts are shared and generate a great joy in the hearts of everyone. This is suggested by the white socks hung at the chimney.
When I think about Christmas, I see landscapes covered with snow. The footsteps in the snow make me think that in a few years, maybe, the world will forget the snowy Christmas because of the climatic changes.
And Christmas is also the time of thinking about loved people who went missing. The flame of the candle represents this spirit.
