I rendered the image using Daz Studio 4.9 Pro and nvidia i-ray. I found inspiration for this piece from my visit to the home of Lafcadio Hearn when I was last in Japan. I wished to create an image that could have come from his writings as one of Japan's most famous ghost authors.
This render process actually took about 4 days because I struggled to create a high resolution image in I-Ray. I usually use Reality but I knew the candle would not work in Lux Render without some serious tweaking. Once I had my resolution established the piece took less than 8 hours to render and edit.
