My inspiration was the ghoulish delight that Halloween brings, when we revel in the repulsive and mingle with the macabre.

Software - Paintshop Pro 8 and FilterForge3

I took the photograph in my living room. The model was in full face makeup with gothic dress and hat.

The bird, feathers, webs, embelishments on the hat and neckline were added in Paintshop Pro. I then postworked the image to add a more textured and painterly feel.
