This goblin trio was hand-drawn using archival ink on paper. I used Poser 10 to create loose ideas of what I wanted each character to look like, then manually sketched them out before shading them with ink, using a cross-hatching technique. Once the image was fully drawn, I photographed it and then used Photoshop CS5 to add the water coloured appearance to the paper. The lines of text that appear faintly in the image are from the poem, "The Goblin Market," by Christina Rosetti.
In total this image took two weeks, working off and on for several hours at a stretch (and then my eyes would start to cross - there are quite a number of fine lines in there).
