Professor Anita Lobos / She Wolf

  Accomplished geneticist who began her scientific career at the end 1950’s, Professor Lobos’ pioneering work in gene splicing resulted in much praise and criticism up until the mid 90’s. The political winds changed, and most governments outlawed her research. When she protested, she was ostracized and eventually faded into the background.

  From 1996 – 2014, the aging Lobos continued her research in genetic splicing, marrying the DNA of humans with the genetic code of various animals. Her goal was to discover long term regenerative properties that could be translated to human beings – the hypothetical Fountain of Youth.

  Though her actual formula is a mystery, it is postulated that a combination of various DNA strands were spliced with wolf DNA. That part of the process complete, she tested the serum on the only test subject available, herself.

  The end result was a mixed success. The initial reaction appeared to roll back the clock, and the 68 year old professor regressed physically approximately four decades. However, the canine aspect became part of her as well, giving her heightened strength and reflexes.

  The regenerative properties she had hoped to obtain, however, did not manifest, and despite her enhanced abilities, she is as vulnerable as any human.

  Serum in hand, she was recruited by Advantek Medical Research, and returned to the laboratory, later moving to DTS Bionics – a Military R&D firm. DTS saw potential in her serum and the new EXT-2 battle suit in development. Human trials began, but no subject survived Anita’s serum treatments. The project was scrapped and the professor was scheduled to be ‘retired’.

  The assassins were unprepared when the ‘young’ professor’s animal side emerged. She escaped the lab, broke into the storage facility and absconded with the prototype armor.
