Brad and Ashley Q. were about the first couple to face a surprise double elimination on the new hit reality TV show, Extreme Urban Labyrinth Survival.

Inspiration:  At first I was stumped so I asked my girlfriend and she suggested a minotaur.  I loved the idea of using a classic monster from mythology but wanted him in a modern setting.  This lead me to the idea of setting it up as a reality TV show instead of the sacrificial offering in the myth. 

The Work:  I have been in my free time working on this for the past three weeks.  I would guess 20 to 30 hours with the couple of restarts I had.  I used Hexagon to model the bat and camcorder.  Both of which had an earlier version that I scrapped and restarted with a new vision in mind.  I set up the scene in Daz Studio with two cameras one to act as the camcorder that was at a lower resolution and one for the main scene.  Post work I used Photoshop CC (2015) to add some spatter to the minotaur and bat, also added some drool to him and the smaller render to the camcorder’s view screen.
