Every since I was little, a favorite tale to hear told over and over again was that of the Headless Horseman. I learned never to cross certain bridges, because you never knew when the rider would come for you. Many a time I remember running through tunnels to make it to the "safe" side if I thought I heard a twig snap or the sounds of hoof prints off in the distance. I took a different spin on the headless hourseman, having her be female - Who's to say that the hourseman's target was always female? This piece was created in various mediums and softwares. Predominately Photoshop and an ancient version of painter (I have been looking to update since the dark ages). I love the use of textures and personalized brushes. Color theory and art nouveau are heavy influences in my work. The piece was completed over the course of three days with roughly ten hours of work put into it. I'm very excited about this contest and hope that my work is seen as worthy of being chosen. Good luck to all! -Jaime
