software used: Poser 2012 and Photoshop. creation time: 6 hours to compose the image, 2.5 hours render time, 20 minutes postworking. inspiration: For the 9th time this year Serious Request starts, a fund raiser in which 3 popular dj's are locked up in a glass house broadcasting 24/7 and going without food for the week before Christmas. Each year another project is chosen to raise money for. This year it's infant mortality which takes away 5.5 million babies each year. Every 6 seconds a baby dies unnecessarily. At the same time activities are spontaneously organized throughout the country, all to help raise as much money as possible. I wanted to do an image about this, but then I thought that while we do these things usually for people far away (and we should, no doubt about it) we sometimes forget about people in our neighborhood that have fallen through the social network. What could be more magical for them than getting some kind attention, and what more magical for us than knowing we made a little difference?
