For me using flames is very magical and so is a snowy winter forest. I wanted to try and use the flame to create a magical forest with a gift of peace, love and joy. Used APOphysics, seven base flames with multiple stages of renders, Photoshop CS2 for highlights, snow, stars, and tree construction and effects and general composition. Time spent off and on, probably three days or so, alot of trial and error for me.
