I was inspired to create this artwork because of the story and tragedy that was bestowed upon a beautiful young maiden named Medusa. Stripped of her beauty by Athena, Medusa was changed into a hideous monster, banished to the ends of the earth. Never to fall in love and never to have companionship with any male that gazed into her eyes. Once a young beautiful maiden adored by many, now savagely hunted down for her head. Software used was Poser 7 and Adobe Photoshop. The entry took close to three hours to complete from start to finish.
