UNHAPPILY EVER AFTER - LOVE BITES This is my entree for this years 3D contest. THE STORY BEHIND THE ART... After reading the Title for this year, I instantly thought of a love triangle... You have the Woman(sorta) willing to sell herself for marriage - Mail Order bride, but in this case - MALE order Bride.... Then you have the Vampire who has come to a cycle in his After life, where he is looking for his ETERNAL BRIDE... Once he Picks her, she is his and there's no turning back... Unfortunately for this Vampire he can't read to well... He finds a fly-er and thinks it says Transylvania Night, Mail Order Bride..... where it actually read Transvestite Night, Male Order Bride. He instantly falls in love with the picture..... and then their is our Slayer, He has been hunting down the Vampire, he sees Mona with him and thinks for sure this Vampire knows Mona is a Man and is not going to bite here - oops! Too Late - LOVE BITES! LOL I was inspired by 3 artists to make this. Michelangelo's David, Da Vinci's Mona Lisa and Tim Burton's Barnabas Collins. Poser6 was my 3D program used, Photo Explosion is the program I used for post work. This Image took me just inside a week to complete. I wanted the poster on the wall to have a light cast on it to help grab the viewers attention to help tell the story of the image. with that in mind, I needed to make a "simple" poster that was readable then I took that into poser and pasted it on a primitive - I placed it on the wall. I chose the woman/man image to be that of the Mona Lisa because of some speculation that the Mona Lisa may be a self Portrait of Da Vinci - which I blieve it is a woman that Michelangelo has created an image in her likeness too. With My main Star/Victim being the Mona Lisa, I originally was going to cast Michelangelo's David, However, I was going to watch Dark Shadows starring Johnny Depp - the Original Barnabas Collins is my favorite Vampire, so I made a Vampire with Depps look but also Johnathan Frid.... and Now David was lurking in the Shadows... what would I do with him? He became the Slayer to save the Mona Lisa. This image was done in stages and overlays to create the lighting I wanted in the image - that is why it took about 5 days - Searching for props, figures, postwork - it all adds up. If you enjoyed this, remember me when voting, I need an upgrade from poser6 - lol
