TITLE: "The Unsuccessful Coping With The Natural Beauty Of The Ex From Hell" Inspiration for this piece was formed by the entire album of "The Origin Of The Feces" By Type O Negative. The music centers on the lead vocalists, the late Peter Steele's lyrical thoughts expressed in a non anger managment way. One must have a strong constitution to be able to delve into the depth of meaning and be able to see the pain and frustration in the lyrics based upon the album. This render is a basic interpretation of Hey Pete, mainly altered a bit to fit the model content my wife and I own, so a reverse perspective had to be done. This piece almost didn't get done, When the contest was announced I started working on a different piece which ended up trashed after a strong dislike for what was rendered, only to have the pc's, which is a dinosaur, power supply to fail miserably during a power outage. A week without creating art, I could have sworn the apocalypse was upon us. As Time took it's toll on my mind, this piece formed vaguely. I was able to gut a computer which had a power supply that would start this pc up. A huge releif since I wanted to participate in this contest... It took 11 hours to render, almost a day to set up in Poser, along with multiple render attempts. The image was rendered in Poser 7, with a little post work in Gimp 2, mainly a couple of filters from the gimp registry site, to bring the image more to life. This image took about a day to set up. Trial and error, amongst many attempts to get ideal lighting, and set up. The render itself took 11 hours to achieve once started. Story: (Slightly altered from inspiration to keep it within TOS) Racheal had heard the news that her ex Peter was to get married to her former best friend of many years. Racheal was obsessed with Peter, to the point a restraining order was filed just to keep her away. By being at the very chapel in which Peter and his bride to be Angel, was a strict violation of the order. She carefully crept into a room near the grooms ready area, and waited for the moment in which she could try to talk Peter out of what she had visioned the worst mistake he could ever make. In her mind, she was already spoken for by Peter and vice versa. She paced, heart pounding, waiting as arrival of friends and family congratulated Peter in the next room. All in which Racheal heard word for word. In her mind all of Peter's friends and family were talking about her. She smiled in her delusional world. This came to a halt when reality stepped came striking from a comment Peter's Best man made, about Racheal. The words, "Wow, am so happy for you, at least Angel is not a psycho like Racheal was." This miffed Racheal, but what really set her over the edge was when Peter responded with, "Yeah, I know what you mean, she should have been institutionalized, and I can't believe all the problems she has caused, because of the fact we weren't that close." Racheal's heart sank, as the best man left to take his place for the wedding. Reality had sunken in that her dreams were merely only illusions. A single thought of If I can't have him then no one can. She paced as she heard the music start in the chapel's main room. She grabbed her purse and exited the room crying. At the same moment Peter had left the room he was in, and saw Racheal. Peter gasped in shock, as he stumbled back to avoid what he thought was about to happen. Another one of Racheal's schemes to ruin everything. Racheal, calmly looked at Peter and said, "I am happy for you." A look of confusion in Peter's face as he did not know how to react to her admission of feelings. He then thought it was a trick and wasn't going to honor a response. He side stepped and started to make way to where everyone was in place for his big day. Racheal snapped grabbing Peter and sending him into the door of the room she had been in. Racheal grabbed a candle holder nearby and started flailing in a mad rage. Peter placed his hands and arms to dodge the melee but to no avail. Racheal connect with a sharp blow to his temple and he went out like a light. Racheal stopped in disbelief that she had struck down her ex. Emotions poured in that Racheal had long held within, muttering apologies on unconscious ears. "I killed him." she thought. No it can't end like this. Wait, they will be looking for him if he doesn't show up, raced into her mind. She looked around for some sort way out of the situation. The answer came as her eyes fixed on a set of bungee ties on a storage bin. managed to get Peter Racheal took the bungees and formed a noose out of them, and wrapped it tightly around the neck of Peter. Adrenaline kicked in as she mustered all her strength to make this incident look like an accident. Upon exiting the room she noticed a hatchet near the wood stove furnace, and wood pile. Thinking she would hunker down hidden from view until everything blew over. She managed to get Peter upright and latch the bungees around a sturdy rafter, with all her strength pulling him into position to make the scene of a perfect crime. She didn't know if she felt ashamed or pleased with her self. She started to make her way back when a call for Peter came bellowing through the hall. Racheal flicked out the light switch and stepped back into the room where the events transpired. Footsteps drew nearer and nearer as fear crept in that Racheal may be discovered once Peter was found hanging lifeless in the main hall. "Why didn't I think of that before" she thought wildly focusing on her inner thoughts and listening to the surroundings. She then remembered the hatchet, and grabbed it as a last resort attempt to be able to escape the grounds. She watched hidden from behind the glass door window. Angel, Peter's bride to be stepped past the door. Racheal saw her, eyes widened, hand grip tighten on the hatchet. The words earlier eavesdropped rang hauntingly in her mind. Her head began to ache, sweat poured from her brow, heart racing with anxiety. She couldn't take anymore anticipation. "I can do to her, what I did to him." she thought. "But this time it will be more enjoyable." She opened the door quietly, and crept out into the dark main hall. Angel was only a few steps until finding her soon to be husband. Racheal made her way to the light switch and turned it on. A scream as Angel saw the lifeless body of Peter hanging not more than a foot away from her face. She turn to run back for help, tears falling from eyes, shocked and hurt deeply from the wounds of thought. But Racheal was there to intercept her. Racheal tripped Angel sweeping her feet from under her. Angel down on the floor turned to face back to Peter, seeing the reflection of a woman nearing her on the polished floor. Racheal only had moments to react. Here is where the story can either end in two ways. Which ending is within your grasp? Does Racheal annihilate Angel? Or does she get stopped from anyone with enough courage to intervene? No matter which ending you choose... The ending of this story will still be unhappily ever after...Sleep Well...
