"Dark Grace" - Frederick prayed to Ananchel, the Angel of Grace, that with the coming of night that he too would not become a creature as his comrades had. Unhappily, it was too late... the Master's blood already ran through his veins. Ananchel, the Archangel Gabriel, or even God himself could not stop the hell Frederick would soon endure once the sun set. The initial inspiration for this started several months ago when I was playing Diablo 3 - here Angels are portrayed in a much darker sense and art style than we typically think of. I just knew I wanted to do an Angel image in a dark setting scene. I started thinking of Angels helping mortals in battles against our typical ghoulish monster types. When the model (girl) with her long black hair asked to be shot as an angel I knew this was my chance. Taken with a Canon 3Ti. Compositing and post work in Photoshop CS3. Approx 2 hours for the shoot, 2 hours image selection and tweaking in Adobe Lightroom. 6 hours in CS3.
