Entry #37

This image was created in Poser Pro 2010. I started a different one but it wasn't working for me, so I took a few days and thought about what else I might do. This took me about four hours with the postwork. What inspired me? I don't know really. I just like Halloween and 'creatures of the night'. The image sort of took on a life of it's own once I started morphing my werewolf. The 'couple' here are a strange pair: an older widow who befriends a stranger in the village. He was quite interesting. He'd traveled through many lands. She'd never been anywhere and found his stories intriguing. There was an air of something mysterious about him, but he kept coming around. He said he liked her cooking. She liked to have someone to cook for and talk to. Sometimes he'd disappear and she wouldn't see him for three or four days. After a year of this, he told her that if she wanted, she could come traveling with him...but there were certain sacrifices to be made to do so. She made the mistake of assuming he meant she would have to leave behind her home and the few friends she had. But that wasn't what he meant at all. When the truth of him was revealed to her one full moon night, she begged him not to eat her as she ran from him through the forest. She fell, scratched and bleeding and in an instant he was bending over her. He was huge, terribly strong...and very scarey looking. His eyes and flesh glowed with an eerie light. He wasn't going to eat her, he said in a voice like a bottomless abyss. He was going to make her like him, and they could be together forever. She was so terrified, she fell unconscious. And so began her new life...one she never wanted.
