As soon as I read the theme I thought of Anne Rice books "The Witching Hour"and "Lasher" the books follow the family of witches which is "helped" by a ghost like creature. The ghost ( demon) was "inherited" by the most powerful witch in every generation. So here is the entry titled "Generations to come" Rendered in Poser 9 with brightness and colour adjustments in Paint Shop Pro. The whole render took about day from start to finish
