Entry #23

He told her father he wanted to put her up on a pedestal. He did. The figures were created in Poser 9 and imported into Vue 8 Studio where I positioned them in The Vampire Library. I was inspired by the ancient idea that a daughter's hand in marriage could be given to any man with a decent job or lots of money, whether or not she felt any love or even mild attraction to the one she would be spend the rest of her life with. It seems like an appropriate context for a nightmarish tale! In this case, the man is also a Vampire who wants nothing but a person to sort his massive collection of evil books, retrieving and returning them forever. The idea came to me after purchasing this large architectural prop for Vue that has many floors and internal props included. The whole thing took me about six hours over two days to complete and included creating and posing the figures with costumes in Poser 9 and then importing them into Vue 8 Studio to be positioned inside the prop. Also in Vue, I set up the atmospherics and lighting. As a note, I must say that I never use Poser without Vue and that (unlike the couple in my image), they are perfectly suited to each other! Happy Halloween!!
