Naughty & Nice I used a cheap polaroid didgital camera that I received from the bank for opening up an account many years back... I used a photo program called Photo Explosion. A few things inspired me to make this... the theme for the contest made me think of that magical time of the night where children fall asleep for just that 5 minute period - just long enough for Santa to sneak inside in the Dark... I started thinking of cookies then and what would be the best cookie to give Santa... Well, of course chocolate chip came to mind, but then I thought of this picture I had emailed to me of heart shaped cookies but the frosting gave it a hint it was something else - lol... I went back to thinking if these kind of cookies were on a plate and Santa was sneaking around in the dark, he wouldn't notice what kind of cookie he picked up until right before he bit into it - then I thought - that's it... that's the picture I want to do - and I want to capture the look on his face when he sees it - lol I used several photos of people and my Santa hat to make this.... As I was going through my photos, I came across a baby photo with blue eyes - the mouth and the eyes of santa are of a young baby... the Beard was painted from a photo of a homeless man. .... and what INSPIRED ME THE MOST WAS... seeing that drawing tablet as a prize... I draw with a mouse and I've been told by many artists here I need to get a drawing pad - I'M CROSSING MY FINGERS MERRY CHRISTMAS - PLEASE DON'T FORGET TO VOTE
