The story behind this image is about acceptance and lost loves. My wish this Christmas would be for a world that is more understanding of people’s differences, to accept people’s different races or orientations. We can’t help who we love or who we are, but if everyone takes just that one step towards accepting of people for who they are, then this would be a much better world. When growing up in a very small religious village my true personality, my true me, had to stay suppressed and I had to conform to the world around me, rather than the world accepting me for whom I was, and still am. Now life is a lot freer, yet there is still a way to go… but that doesn’t help all those lost loves that were broken off as it was forbidden, or even illegal to be together. How can love ever be wrong when it is between two adults who love each other? That’s my wish for Christmas, that people embrace love, and accept everyone for who they are, without wanting them to change. Technical Stuff: For this picture I used Poser8. I also added some finishing touched using Painter 11 and added aging using Paint Shop Pro (Photo) X2 . This whole picture from idea to finish took me just over a week.
