The image was inspired by my disappointment as a child when I found out that Sea Monkeys weren't actually little humanoid creatures that played leap frog over each other like it showed on the box! This image is for all of us that have ever been disappointed by any of our hopes and dreams and to remind us that sometimes in life, the reality can exceed even our wildest dreams. This took about 3 weeks on and off to create (started when the competition was announced) and apart from Daz's Victoria 4, Millennium Dragon and the bottle, everything else was modelled and textured by me using either Blender or Carrara. The completed image was rendered entirely in Carrara with no post work apart from the frame and a little colour correction. Good luck to everyone and Merry Christmas!
