Entry #9

Started with a Photograph of a flower which I then digitized and color converted in Photoshop. Then textured the image with Painter's Surface Texture/Image luminance. Then flopped image to create a symmetrical background. Then created the cross as a black silhouette and brought it into Corel's Kai Power Tools and reflected ambience from a painting that I had on my desktop into the cross. Then colored the centers with photoshops gradiation colors and finally painted the yellow rays and superimposed them transparently. It took me one day to create. Inspired by the conflict with so many people of mixed marriages raising children in both shared traditions that I thought there should be one symbol that would represent both their parents' religions EQUALLY! Also we are now using the phrase HAPPY HOLIDAYS as much as Merry Christmas so as not to offend anyone from a non Christian faith that I thought There should be an image that reflects both the Jewish and Christian Holiday as COEXISTING HOLIDAYS!
