For Lewis Carter and the girl he is stalking through the ruins of Buffalo the past is the stuff of fairy tale and the present is nothing but horror. Word count is 999 (not including title). It is an idea I have been toying with for some time, specifically the image of an old office building standing alone and filled with zombies. I enjoyed/hated the exercise of reducing it to 1000 words or less, but am more or less pleased with the result.
