Was never a great gore fan, so didn't really like zombies much...until recently when The Walking Dead came along...that program is awsome and I can't wait for season 2 (Any day Now). Was also inspired by the book 'Feed' by Mira Grant, which details beutifully how life tries to go on after a zombie outbreak. The subject of the contest is Zombie Apocalypse, so apocalyptic is how I wanted to show it...this is the end of the world!!! All the characters were set up in Poser8, then textured in Cinema4d. The foreground area is a scene I set up based on a tutorial I did about 2 years ago, but never posted the final image. I changed the architecture quite a bit. The background is all new, using Stonemason's Urban Future 4 for the most part, to give the feel of a near future environment when the world has totally gone to hell. The scene was rendered out in a number of seperate passes to keep the times down and allow for more control of the postwork in Photoshop CS5. All told took me nearly a week to get it done. Yeah, I know it's pretty gruesome, but then that's what zombies are all about. Thanks...and good luck to everyone
