Entry #6

In 1883 Evilbella and the Prince of Darkness plan to dominate the world. To test their plans they decide to attack a small town Evilbella: Queen of the Zombies It was a late October night in 1883, when the ground trembled. With a furry the ground exploded in the graveyard that night. Out of the dust and the flames stood Evilbella the queen of the zombies. She looked skywards and stared to chant in an unknown tongue to here unholy Lord the Prince of Darkness as the wind howled in the night. As she chanted, hands started to break the crust of the earth in the graveyard. As the arms appeared a frenzy of clawing and digging began as the rotted corpses started breaking free of their tombs. A fowl stench came over the graveyard as the undead assembled around their queen as morning started to break. The Prince of Darkness made sky appeared to look like dried blood which blocked out the sun. This allowed the unholy legion of living dead to be able to go indefinitely in a war against the living. To test their plan of world domination, the Queen and the Prince decided to attack a small town close to the graveyard. With her legion of rotting corpses they set out for the town of Calamity, Nevada. Calamity Nevada a small mining town that is 200 miles from nowhere was isolated and a perfect place to see if they could fight and win over the small town of 250 people. As the stench of rotting flesh filled the air and marching towards Calamity with Queen Evilbella leading them, a lone rider on a brown chestnut horse notice this strange assemblage. His horse reared up an nearly threw the rider, but held on and headed his horse towards town. Swiftly the rider got to town to warn the citizen of the impending battle, there he saw people praying for understanding and help for the town was in perpetual darkness. As he warn the people of this town and the men got their gun, knives, axes out to battle the horde of zombies that was coming for them. Jed Smith the foreman for the Leaping Lizard Mine told the people he an idea to stop the zombies. He would bury them under tons of earth because the day before he wired and charged tunnel and shaft with dynamite to close Mine Number. If the towns people would get in tunnels 5 and 7 lock the main door to these tunnels and block off the shaft they should be safe from the zombies and blast. They decided to do this instead of a direct conflict as the faint odor of stench fill the air. Jed got a horse and a cow and cut them to make a trail of blood to tunnel number 3 as the rest of the town fled toward tunnels 5 and 7. All was working well until the horse fell down and the zombie started to eat it just outside tunnel number 3. The cow fell just inside tunnel number three as the zombies started into the tunnel of the mine and Jed bragged the wire that was attached to the igniter pulled it in to the cave pass the undead masses that was advancing towards him. Jed was about a quarter mile in the cave an at the end of the wire which was outside the entire legion of zombies was now in the tunnel advancing toward him. He pushed down on the plunger of the igniter, the whirl of the magneto made a winding sound, but nothing happen, he stuck a match where the zombies close to him jump back into the darkness. He saw the one of the wire came loose from the terminal and found it and attached it. As the match when out the whirl of the magneto could be hear as the detonation of 300 pound of dynamite closed mind number 3. All that remains of Calamity today is a monument at the what was the Leaping Lizard Mind. The people abandoned the town right after this battle. It reads: Here buried under tons of earth is a unselfage man know as Jed Smith. He sacrificed himself the save the town from Zombies. On October 31, 1883 AD. Warning to all do not mine this mountain it is a Pandora's Box. A laugh is heard as a foot kick over the monument; in the background mining equipment is being loaded from trucks. Word Count 729 What inspires me is the fact I like old Cowboy movies from the scilent movies up to the 1950's and like horror movies from the 1930's and 1950's.
