Spontaneous Human Combustion (SHC)is the mysterious phenomenon of a person bursting into flame for no apparent reason. Then again maybe the reasons are more apparent than we choose to see. Maybe there are amongst us beings that can, knowingly or not, fan the spark of the divine that is within each of us into a raging inferno. Rendered in DS3A, texturing & final composition in Paint Shop Pro. From start to finish the whole piece took about 20-24 hours spread out over three days. The initial idea came to me as soon as I heard of the contest but then I promptly forgot exactly what my idea was & spent the majority of the month working on an series of pictures that all failed to have that magic feeling to them. Finally with only a couple days left seeing a silly little Halloween Skeleton reminded me of the vision I initially had thought of and I finally knew what I needed to do.
