We all do it, but few really know why. Its so ingrained into our traditions of Halloween to carve faces into pumpkins and put lights in them. But why? I the old days, superstitious folks thought that the jack-o-lanterns would ward off evil spirits. Looks like it works! This was sudden inspiration. Photographed one of my Halloween props on my camreaphone, then speed-painted over it in Photoshop CS4. Took about 20 minutes total. Happy Halloween!
