Rendered in Poser 8 (about six hours for the various parts) and postworked in GIMP (another two hours or so. Inspired by the urban legend "The Hook" (one version can be read here http://urbanlegends.about.com/od/horrors/ss/Campfire-Tales_2.htm) As I heard the story- two teens go driving to have some make out time. They are in a dark forested area, when they hear a radio announcement that a local convict/madman has escaped the assylum and is in the same area they are parked in. They are warned to keep an eye out for a man with a hook for a hand. She freaks out and demands to go home NOW, and he gets angry- feeling that locking his doors will keep them safe enough. She persists, and he squeals out of there to take her home. When they get home- she gets out, and goes to close her door. She starts screaming because there is a bloody hook hanging from the handle. I chose to do the scene as they are leaving the forest. She's already terrified and horrified- but we know there is worse coming! This story terrified me growing up because we lived in a heavily wooded area, about 15 miles from a county jail. And I went camping a lot... so this one stuck with me and scared me over and over!
