Rumor has it that she's walked this section of Freeway for many years. People say they saw her here when this was just a trail through the woods. No one knows the real story, but it's said her and her family were murdered by her neighbors on charges of witchcraft. She still searches for her little ones. Up and down she walks, often in the middle of the road. Many accidents have been blamed on her, and many deaths resulting from the accidents. They say now she deliberatley stands in the road ... I hate this section of freeway. Towards evening it always seems to have dark clouds over it, and fog .. strange mists that seem to swirl and look like someone moving in the road. I used Corel's Paint Shop Pro X2 to make this. It's my own photo taken along the thruway and the tube is faestock's stock photo from deviant (http://faestock.deviantart.com/art/Random-stock-92064809). I tubed her out, desaturated her, bloodied her up, and reduced her opacity. Painted in more clouds, and some mist using my own brushes, played with some overlays to get the right coloring and atmosphere. It took probably 5 hrs all totalled of fiddling with this. What inspired me is something I saw on tv some years ago about someone stopping to give some girl standing on the side of a road a ride .. except that girl had died many years before, on that road.
