Entry #173

The main showcase picture on this piece came to me after I read about an urban legend dating back from the depression. I decided to modernize it. To make a long story short, a woman would often go into the market to buy fresh milk but would hurry off without paying. The manager didn't punish her because he knew she was poor so everytime she came in with empty milk bottles he filled them without protest. He then decided to offer the lady a job the next time she came in, but she hurried away again as usual so the manager decided to follow her. He ended up going to a graveyard and watched as the woman literally disappeared down into a grave. He called the police, had the grave dug up, and what they found was the skeleton of the woman who was long dead, but her baby was still alive. Apparently, she was buried alive with her child for reasons unknown, but even in her death, she still cared for the baby. Hope you enjoy the piece!
