This image has been inspired by the legend of Niccol Paganini (1782-1840), one of the greatest violinists and composers of history. When he died, because of his widely rumored association with the devil, his body was denied a Catholic burial in Genoa. It took four years, and an appeal to the Pope, before the body was allowed to be transported to Genoa, but was still not buried. Worked on this image for 5-6 hours. Created and rendered in Carrara 8 Pro. No postwork.
