THE HITCHHIKER We've all heard tales of a pretty young runaway hitchhiking in the dead of night, getting picked up by some creep, and meeting an early end. Once in a while, though, it plays out a little differently. Now, this one was all over the news and was all people talked about for weeks. Sorry, I can't remember exactly when it happened. It seems there was this cute young thing who was full of personality. And by personality, I mean she was angered quite easily. Well, one evening her boyfriend said he'd had enough of it and was breaking up with her. In a fit of rage, she grabbed a kitchen knife, and, well, you can guess what happened next. But, immediately after that is when things got interesting. She packed up her suitcase as anyone would, except for putting in a few more knives, and started walking, intent on taking out her frustrations on men in general. She left home and started walking east - or maybe it was west. She stuck her thumb out and before long some oily middle aged man in a truck picked her up. They drove for a good hour or so before she asked him to pull over. As soon as the parking brake was on, she pulled that knife out of her suitcase and made him quite familiar with it. Once he wasn't moving anymore, she grabbed his wallet, changed into a fresh shirt, and started walking again. This scene would play out six more times that night. She managed to catch every single one by surprise since no one would have heard what was happening until the next morning. By that point, she was hundreds of miles from home. In her travels, she managed to collect enough wallets to buy herself breakfast and a bus ticket. She got on that bus and travelled far to the south - or was it north? I don't remember. At any rate, she managed to avoid killing any more men after that, well, at least so far. I wish I could tell you where she ended up, but no one is exactly sure. All I can say is that if you see a pretty girl with a suitcase walking along the side of the road at night, I would advise you not to offer her a ride. ---- Made with Poser 8 and Photoshop CS.
