Entry #133

The Wild Hunt was created using Poser, Vue 8, Painter 10 and Photoshop. I used Poser to create the people running in the foreground and the horsemen crossing over to this world in the mid area. I made the city streets in Vue 8. I used terrains to create the city blocks. The cloudy ramp to the street is a boolean shape with a cloud texture placed on it. (I took the final render into Painter to blur the ramp with a burr.) Transferring the Poser figures to the Vue render developed a problem. I resolved it by making alpha planes and placing them in the final picture. I used Photoshop to place the fog pouring over the edge into the city and off the edge of the ramp. The sun on the other world is a Vue light. Approx time one week to create image. I had trouble thinking of an urban legend until I remembered reading stories of The Wild Hunt. I thought I would create a modern version of this Halloween story.
