Legends sometimes have a basis in reality. John and Susan were only 17 when they fell in love. However Susan's older brother Dillon hated John. One night he found them in the barn making out. Dillon threw John against the barn wall. He proceeded to pick up a bailing hook and swing it at him hitting him twice. One scraping his right eye and the second taking a huge gouge out of John's cheak. As John fell down and held his face, Dillon steped in the middle of his back and with an axe cut Johns right hand off at the wrist. John never got over this. He was marked for life and lost Susan's affections. Years passed and John withdrew from the world. He profered long walks at night when darkness could hid him. He would walk by parked cars,the windows would be closed, but steamy from kids making out. John first started walking by these cars and with his hook scratching the sides of these vehicles. Before long, one night he went by a parked convertable with the music blaring and he reached in and hooked both the young man and woman to death. If your making out, in parked cars leave, the windows up and don't get out of your vehicle. He is still out there getting older and more demented day by day.
