Out in the country is a big ole oak tree off the road a bit It's a real popular spot for the high school kids for making out and hopefully getting to first base at least. But I heard that a few years back there was an incident that took place there. My best friend's cousin's neighbor's friend said that one night a couple from the high school was out there under that big ole tree and started to make out when they heard on the radio that a psychotic inmate had escaped from the Sanitarium/prison in the next town and was considered dangerous. He was not to be approached if seen and he liked to lurk around teenage make out spots seeking young lovers needing to have their throats slit. So, after hearing this radio report, they heard some scratching somewhere outside the car. The guy told his date to stay in the car: I'm going to go and check it out you stay in the car and lock the doors and don't come out no matter what you hear I'll be back in a moment. So he got out of the car and started searching in the dark for the reason for the scratching noise.. Suddenly from inside the car the girl heard a loud noise and a muffled shout. She was terrified, but remained in the car as instructed trembling and crying, hoping that her boyfriend would soon be back. But she waited and still no boyfriend. It was silent outside, then all of a sudden she heard more scratching sounds, this time it sounded like it was on the roof. Scratch, scratch, scratch.. It seemed to go on forever all the way till dawn. scratch, scratch, scratch It was driving her crazy. She was scared and wanted to remain inside, but the continual scratching beckoned her out into the dim morning light to see what it was and call for her boyfriend who was still nowhere to be seen or heard, she thought. Scratch scratch scratch.. So reluctantly she opened the door and stepped outside. Her back was to the car but she heard it again scratch, scratch, scratch. She called out for her boyfriend and turned and there he was.. Hanging from the big ole oak tree, his throat slit and dripping a pool of blood on the roof. And that scratching? It was her dead boyfriend's bloody hand scratching the top of the roof as it swung back and forth with each little breeze. I used Daz Studio3 for M4, his expression started out with "Scream" from Most Digital Creations, as well as his hanging pose & I used Lisa's Botanicals Creepy Trees II and Mighty Oak. The neck wound is a 2D face ..image created in MGI PhotoSuite 8.06. I used Hexagon 2.5 for some of the blood. However for most of the blood, I used Metaballs..in Bryce. And did the final work and render in Bryce 6.01.. It was a rather fast render..only about 20 to 30 minutes. It took me longer to create this image (cumulatively) than one might hope for. However a new puppy has a tendency to take ones time. All in all it probably took me 3 hours for the image. The story and inspiration for this was of course one of several such stories I recall hearing and telling as a teenager. some variations included a pycho with a hook in place of his arm.
