As you may have noticed my entry this year is based on what is arguably the most famous of all urban legends, the Loch Ness Monster. You may also notice, if you look carefully enough, a very subtle and very cheeky pop-culture reference thrown in for good measure! For those of you that don't know, basically, Loch Ness in Scotland is supposedly the home of a surviving Plesiosaur, affectionately referred to as 'Nessie'. There have been many famous sightings and photographs over the years but the existence of the monster was officially confirmed by billionaire C. Montgomery Burns and was last sighted working as a doorman at the Vegas Town Casino, or something... Oops, there goes another one of those pop-culture thingies again, I really should see a doctor... Anyway, the characters were hand drawn using good old paper and pencil (anyone still remember those?!), scanned in, coloured with Photoshop and scaled with AS pro 6. Background was made with, and final image assembly done using Paint.net. It took about 6 hours over several days, kind of. I didn't really keep count. And yes, they're gonna need a bigger boat!
