This was a fun one - just sat down with my modeler and began nodding, with no preconceived ideas and this is what popped out. Modeled and UV mapped in Modo. Image textures were created in Photoshop CS. In Bryce these textures were ABC Blended with Bryce textures based on an image alpha map for the "C" blend. Got the Klingon font from a magazine CD a long time ago and don't remember who to credit. The clouds are 6 volumetric spheres each with it's own Bryce7 Globe light wrapped around them. The globe light is set to "inward", with a short range and set to "include" only it's volume sphere (really cuts down render times!). Primarily illuminated by the Bryce sun. Rendered with True Ambiance On and RPP of 64 on a MacPro 2.26x4. Render time about 2 1/2 hours. Thanks for looking!
