This video is a commercial parody for a CD of traditional Wassailing songs. Wassailing involved groups of impoverished people going to rich people's houses to beg for food, but the songs often carry an implied threat (i.e. "Give us some figgy pudding and bring it right here!"). The video fits with the contest theme because it calls to mind and includes images that harken to Christmases past. The soundtrack for the video comes from a series of sketches I wrote with a friend of mine several years ago, but I had never thought of creating a video with this bit until I saw this year's contest theme. The images for this video were made in Poser 6 with additional help from Photoshop CS4. The editing was done in After Effects CS4. The sound quality is better on the original file, but I sacrificed sound to keep the images looking good. This entry took approx 2 weeks to create. The narrator for this segment is Michael Flohr. The singers are Kim Aldrich-Ceja, Andrew Narten, Mark Cipra, Maryann Elder, Denise Astorino, and Hester Llewelyn.
