" The inspiration comes from the poster for the book from Jilian Hart: A Holiday to Remember. So I thought how could be special when the xmas tree comes to your house... well here is summer now but the snow look so beautiful that I couldn't resist to create such idea. This image as created entirely done in Carrara Pro 7.2. I used 3 different renders so I could compose the DOF effect: there is a first plane with the girl and house, the second plane with the woodcutter the tree and the garden, and theres the background mountain that received a DOF too. The final shot was composed in Composite Lab Pro and the entire scene took about 5 days since first idea to the final image. I did a lot of renders to test light and shadows, that why it talke so long. The final scene use only simple light, no GI and no HDRI image, and took about 30 minutes to render in a fine resolution. I used Daz Maddie with Gretel cloth set. The hose is the TownHouse with the Garden Wall, all background are from Carrara itself"
