I came across a scene like this while hiking the Virginia mountains many years ago. Footprints in the snow were obviously children's , but the house itself seemed abandoned. The scene was especially poignant and stayed with me all these years. The house was created from scratch with Blender 2.49b. All vegetation is xFrog. EVerything was imported into a Terragen2 landscape and rendered there. Since I'm still pretty much a noob in blender, I learn as I go. The house took me about about 10 days to create and refine.
