This is St Marys church in the village of Dunstall Staffordshire. http://static.panoramio.com/photos/original/11236843.jpg I modelled the church from scratch, and also the rest of the scene. The only postwork is the sky and some colour correction and shadow work. The village of Dunstall, sits off the beaten track and is made up of a few houses and farm buildings that line a winding country lane that sits at the bottom of a shallow valley. For me I used to love walking over the hills and through the woods into Dunsatll, it was almost like stepping back in time. It sums up everything that is good about this green and pleasant land and it is a picture anytime of year. The church is thye centre of the village and can be viewed peping out of the wooded hills that surround. Whilst working on this project I found out that the church planned by the Arkwright family who lived in the nearby Manor house They also went gave £12000 towards its cost.
