Entry #179

A crowd had gathered to see friends and family off. The excitement in the crowd was building and palpable as the moment of departure neared. Bob had been on the waiting list for quite a while and now it was finally his turn. He would be taking the vacation of a lifetime; a flight to a distant planet aboard an alien vessel. He squinted and smiled in amazement, as he glanced up at the bright lights of the massive, steel ship. He was pondering his good fortune, when suddenly his friend and co-worker, Nancy, ran toward him waving a large notepad and appearing greatly distressed. She began shouting frantically, "Bob! Bob! I've finally completed the translation of their book, 'To Serve Man'! It's not a manual to help the people of Earth - It's a COOKBOOK! Bob, don't go in there!" It was then that Bob sensed the alien at his back and realized it was too late to escape. He feared the horrors that surely awaited him now........ My inspiration for this image came from one of my favorite Twilight Zone episodes, "To Serve Man". The image took approximately two days to complete. It was rendered in Poser 7 with postwork in Photoshop CS3.
